Helping Out
All help gratefully received...!
You can help out in many ways. From simple things like supporting and attending the Friends of Berkeley events, encouraging your child to gain as much sponsorship as possible for the annual Sponsored Circuits event, or donating gifts and items for our raffles, tombola's and stalls.
For the those with just a little more time available, the Friends of Berkeley are always looking for helpers for some of our busier events, particularly the Christmas Craft Fayre, Disco's, and especially the Family Fun Night. Even if you are only able to spare an hour or so, with a few people doing the same thing this is a massive help to the Committee.
Any if you're really enthusiastic, then we would welcome more parents and friends to join the Committee, or even just support us on an occassional basis. The amount of time required is really not that much, but the benefits and personal satisfaction of putting something back into the life and wellbeing of the school and pupils is immense.

Company support for employee volunteering activities
Many companies now run schemes to put money back into the community
for employees that volunteer to support events, either on a regular or occassional basis. Friends of Berkeley are very grateful to some of the parents at school who work for Barclays that have helped to significantly boost our fundraising activities for a number of years through the Bank's '£for£' corporate matching scheme.
Many employees are unaware that the company they work for provides support such as this, and for just a small contribution of their time, they can make a big difference.
